The Golden Triangle Group of the Sierra Club met for its bi-annual outings planning meeting. We met in the office and studio of Time Warner Cable Media Sales in Beaumont, Texas. The session was well attended with members participating with fresh outings ideals followed by a great pot-luck dinner.
The outings span the period of August '05 through January '06 and range from day hikes, canoe floats, and bike rides, to weeklong camping and backpacking trips. The outing consist of an array of interests and also include outings in conjunction with other Sierra Club goups, Audubon, canoe and bike groups.
We feel that our local outings and participation with other like-minded groups are our strongest link to the enviorment and the core values that we as Sierra Cub members hold dear. Outing are also a great recruiting tool to attract new members and bond with current menbers.
