A county drainage ditch connects to a natural stream on my farm. It dumped huge ammounts of drainage directly into the Cannon River*. I worked on a diversion with the help of a local gravel concern who used his huge equipment and added some fill to cause the water to filtrate through a nearby 10-acre wetland. On or about August 6 I was monitoring it to keep it flowing the right direction.
* The Cannon flows from midstate Southern Minnesota and connect with the Mississippi at Red Wing.
