When I ride my bicycle on the Katy Trail, I try to use all of my senses.
I feel the air on my face -- cool in places where the trees canopy the trail, warm in the sunshine open places. I smell the wet smell of the woods and water, I see sunshine making patterns through the leaves, a flash of red as a cardinal flies across the trail, quick snapshots of the beauty around me, quick impressions. I hear leaves rustling, birda-indigo buntings, woodpeckers. I taste...hmmm-the red hot Fireball in my mouth, the water I bring along. I meet people along the way.
Am blessed to take part in this beauty.
