Today I attended a memorial service of a friend who died of lung cancer less than a year after she was diagnosed. Bobbi was a yoga instructor, ate fresh vegetables from her organic garden, and was careful about her impact on her surroundings. Nevertheless, she was not able to overcome the disease. In a world where our bodies are riddled with chemicals most of us have never heard of, it is more important than ever to work for clean air and clean water in our communities.
